Alva Skatefest 23–24 May

The fifth edition of the Alva Skate Fest will take place on 23 and 24 May.

The event, dedicated to downhill skating—a discipline involving high-speed descents along tarmac roads—will once again transform the road between Senhor das Almas and São Sebastião da Feira into an adrenaline-fuelled track.

A total of 119 athletes from 14 countries have been confirmed for this edition, which forms part of the Eurotour as the second race on the European circuit, and of the Portuguese LongSkate National Circuit. The competition covers various disciplines of gravity sports, such as downhill skating, inline skating, street luge and trikes.

With a course stretching over two kilometres, featuring challenging bends and views over the Alva Valley and the Açor and Estrela mountain ranges, the event promises moments of great intensity, both for the athletes and for the public, who can watch for free from strategic vantage points along the course.
