In this FAQ you will find the answers to some frequently asked questions.
Is there WIFI on the quinta?
Yes, there is free WiFi via a 4G connection in the holiday homes, this works properly. If you like to stream a lot, it is not guaranteed to work and you might need your own data bundle.
Is there TV on the quinta?
Yes there is TV in the holiday homes via satellite TV, here you can watch Portuguese channels.
What is possible on the terrain of the quinta?
On our grounds there is a swimming pool where you can cool down on a hot day. Here you will also find sun beds and parasols. The lower grounds are green and have plenty of room to play. The grounds continue until you reach the paved road.
What is there to do nearby?
Several fun outings can be planned in the area, check out our cities page or our activities page for ideas. You can go hiking, cycling or photographing in the national parks nearby. Or go to an equestrian centre where you can (learn to) ride horses. Also, if you want to learn mountain climbing, abseiling or canoeing, you will have a super holiday here.
Are there any shops nearby?
Yes there are many shops to be found in Oliveira do Hospital. Several good supermarkets and other shops. There are several pharmacies and there is a petrol station nearby.
Are our pets welcome?
Yes, dogs are welcome all year round but with a few clear agreements about this. There is a maximum of 2 dogs per cottage. We do not want pets to cause nuisance or danger to other guests. We therefore require pets to be well-behaved and kept on a leash outside if necessary or if we ask you to. We also require - for reasons of hygiene - that you do not take your pet to common areas such as the swimming pool. We also do not allow dogs to be walked on our property. If dogs are brought, please indicate this when booking, as there is an additional cleaning charge per cottage.
Do you also serve breakfast or lunch?
No, we have equipped the cottages in such a way that you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at your own time and to your own taste. The various supermarkets offer a wide choice for meals.
Is there also heating in the houses in the off-season?
The houses are only heated by wood burning/wood stove, so no central heating or other solutions. In summer and on warm days, this is not necessary at all, but in a slightly cooler month it is nice to sit by the fire in the evening. Wood is available on the quinta.
Is there a charging station on the quinta?
There is no charging facility on the quinta yet. There are charging points at various places in Oliveira do Hospital, including the Lidl and Aldi, but it is wise to check in good time which charging passes work there. Not all passes work, unfortunately!
